Description

Duties of a Staff Hostel Supervisor may include but are not limited to:


• Responsible for assigning hostel units to staff members based organizational policies, priorities and availability.
• Maintain accurate records of housing assignments and keep track of any changes or relocations.
• Ensure that all staff housing units are well-maintained and comply with safety and health standards.
• Schedule regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues promptly.
• Act as a liaison between staff members and relevant departments (such as Properties Management, Security & Maintenance) to address concerns and resolve issues related to Staff hostel.
• Provide clear and timely communication regarding hostel Policies, procedures and any changes.
• Enforce hostel policies and procedures consistently to maintain order and compliance.
• Address any violations of Staff hostel rules and take appropriate actions, such as warnings or penalties.
• Work within budget constraints to manage housing-related expenses efficiently.
• Monitor and control costs associated with maintenance, repairs and improvements to staff hostel facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of occupancy, vacancies and housing-related transactions.
• Prepare reports and updates for management regarding housing utilization and any notable issues.
• Handle disputes or conflicts among staff members related to housing assignments of conditions.
• Mediate and resolve issues diplomatically and in accordance with organizational policies.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for housing facilities.
• Ensure that staff members are aware of evacuation procedures and safety measures.
• Identify opportunities for improvement in housing services and facilities.
• Gather feedback from staff members and use it to enhance the overall hostel experience.
• Stay informed about local hostel laws and regulations
• Ensure that staff housing facilities comply with all relevant legal and safety requirements.
• Perform all other ad hoc duties requested by Assistant Property Manager and CEO.

Requirements

Job Qualifications & Requirements:

• Any graduate or diploma passed
• Proven experience as a Staff Hostel or in a similar role.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Computer literate and able to prepare and file written reports.
• Strong communication skills.
• Must be initiative and able to work long term
