Diesel Generator Specialist
Description
• Troubleshoots and repairs alternating current electrical systems on generators, automatic transfer switches, generator controls and engine related mechanical failures
• Check routine preventative maintenance, oil and filter changes and inspections on all generator and by-pass pumps
• Provide technical guidance and direction to the teams in the allocated Zone for following the standard of the organization
• Able to do dismantling, reassembling, rewinding, repairing, and testing of individual mechanical and electrical components and fully assembled units in any required overhauling activity
• Will be required to assemble a detailed report for each job which includes all the specific technical information and findings pertaining to the scope performed
• Work independently, be a problem solver, and work with other electricians to complete tasks in a timely safe manner
• Must be able to respond to emergency repairs as needed
• Analyzes equipment performance and calibration as required
• Collects and evaluates test data to ensure process control and product quality based on specific procedures and processes

• Investigates the root-cause of issues and provides information to related line managers
• Availability to work in a rapidly changing environment

Requirements
• Diploma / Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Power / Mechanical)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in diesel generators
• IC Engine mechanic experience
• Knowledge of mechanical and electronic components
• Repair and maintenance Engines
• Strong Technical Knowledge of Telecommunication power systems
• Able to travel depend upon on the request for site supports
• Willingness to learn as team member with positive attitudes
• Minimum 5 years of experience in diesel generators
