Senior Accountant
Description
Manage and review general ledger entries, journal postings, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Ensure timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles, contractual terms, and the company’s chart of accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for both Head Office and branch operations, including detailed analysis of cash calls, debit/credit notes, and other financial metrics.
Coordinate external financial reporting activities such as tax filings, regulatory submissions, and external audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
Perform analytical reviews of accounting data to identify variances, trends, and potential financial risks, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
Implement and monitor an effective fixed asset management system, ensuring accurate record-keeping, depreciation, and disposal processes.
Maintain organized and up-to-date fiscal records, ensuring financial documentation supports all accounting transactions and audit requirements.
Investigate and resolve payment issues, discrepancies, and vendor disputes, ensuring smooth financial operations and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce; ACCA (Part-qualified or above) is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial management, reporting, or general accounting functions.
Logistics/transport/warehouse industry exposure is a plus (not required)
Strong ability to interpret financial data, prepare reports, and support management decision-making.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to lead or support accounting teams, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Must be willing to travel for site visits when required
