Batch & Furnace Operator
Description
- Operate and monitor batching systems to ensure correct mixing and proportioning of raw materials.
- Oversee furnace operations, including temperature control, combustion systems, and glass melting conditions.
- Conduct routine inspections of batching and furnace equipment, identifying potential issues before breakdowns occur.
- Adjust raw material formulations and furnace parameters to maintain glass quality standards.
- Record and analyze production data (temperatures, pressures, fuel consumption, batch compositions).
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure smooth glass flow and consistent product quality.
- Carry out preventive maintenance and minor repairs on batching and furnace equipment.
- Follow strict safety, health, and environmental guidelines during furnace operation.
- Prepare reports and recommend improvements for efficiency and energy optimization.

Requirements
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (or related technical field).
Proven experience in mixing technology, batching, or manufacturing processes.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to adjust operations based on process data.
Familiarity with safety standards, energy management, and environmental regulations.
Ability to work in shifts and in high-temperature industrial environments.
