Assistant Chief Accountant
Description
Supervise and review daily accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Review Journal Entries, General Ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
Ensure all accounting transactions are properly supported by relevant documents.
Review accounting records and identify errors or discrepancies.
Assign and supervise daily tasks of accounting staff.
Ensure accounting procedures are followed in accordance with company policies and SOPs.
Reconcile supplier statements with company accounting records.
Monitor customer outstanding balances and credit sales.
Coordinate with the Sales Department to follow up on overdue customer balances.
Coordinate with Import, Purchasing and Logistics Departments regarding shipment-related costs.
Ensure all import documents are properly maintained for accounting and audit purposes.
Reconcile warehouse stock balances with accounting / ERP system records.
Review stock receiving, stock transfer and stock adjustment transactions.
Investigate stock shortages, excesses and damaged goods.
Coordinate with Warehouse Department to resolve stock discrepancies.
Review inventory-related accounting entries and adjustments.
Ensure all month-end accounting activities are completed according to the closing schedule.
Support external and internal audit processes.
Maintain accurate accounting records related to taxation.
Prepare tax-related documents and reports.
Ensure accounting and tax records are properly maintained.
Monitor compliance with applicable accounting and tax requirements.
Monitor compliance with financial policies and internal control procedures.
Identify accounting errors, control weaknesses and financial risks.
Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.
Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
LCCI / ACCA Part Qualified / CPA or other relevant accounting qualifications are preferred.
Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, with experience at Senior Accountant / Supervisor level.
Previous experience in a Trading, Import & Distribution Company is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of General Accounting, AP, AR, Inventory and Financial Reporting.
Knowledge of applicable Myanmar accounting and taxation requirements.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with Accounting Software / ERP systems.
Ability to supervise and manage an accounting team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
LCCI / ACCA Part Qualified / CPA or other relevant accounting qualifications are preferred.
